Born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Travi The Native burst onto the scene in May with his debut single ‘Heavy Love’. But don’t be fooled by his ‘new kid on the block’ persona. He’s been a full time musician for the last four years, releasing indie classics such as ‘Sofarsogood’ and ‘Wow’ which avid fans can still find on his Spotify today. Touring extensively across the UK and Europe, Travis cut his teeth playing alongside and in support of household names such as Ryan McMullan, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, AVEC and JC Stewart. He honed his writing chops too, attending songwriting camps across the UK, Ireland and even as far as Nashville with the likes of Sam Fender and Artful Dodger.
Merging sounds reminiscent of Tom Petty and Talking Heads with the likes of Maggie Rogers and The 1975, Travi The Native certainly doesn’t let a genre dictate where his music will find its home. He fine dines elegantly with electro, before hitting the bar with pop and leaving early with his own soulful overtone. He dresses for the occasion too, on a personal crusade to debunk toxic masculinity in all of its forms.
Travi The Native is set to release his highly anticipated debut EP in February 2021. In the meantime, his third single ‘COOL’ dropped on September 4th and there is no question that he’s well and truly found his feet.
